Mwinga is a Zambian visual artist currently based in New York. Born in New York and raised in Geneva, Mwinga's artwork bridges the gaps between the cultures and environments he has been exposed to throughout his life. From oil and acrylic paintings to mixed media Illustrations and film, Mwinga's repertoire of creative work is a push to shine the light of the sun on the overlooked and obscure, and a call to approach the unknown with a little more consideration and care. He currently works as a freelance artist in White Plains, New York.
Mwinga's work has been featured in Further Magazine, Dark Phrases (Sarah Lawrence College) and Visual Arts Review (Sarah Lawrence College).
He is the first to have been selected twice to showcase his work at the Barbara Walters Gallery (Sarah Lawrence College) in one year.
